The Open Group held its Summit in Houston, USA, from 3 to 6 November 2025 local time.
The theme ʻPathways to Progressʼ, which encouraged the transition from strategy to action, played a crucial role in bridging the gap between vision and implementation.
Meetings were held for each session, exploring pressing issues through case studies, use case presentations, and collaborative discussions. Within the Security Portfolio session, a presentation titled ʻOpen Dependability through Assuredness™ Framework, Version 2.02 Introduction and Overviewʼ was delivered by Junkyo Fujieda of ReGIS Inc., Kyoichi Matsuzawa of Kindryl Japan Co., Ltd., and Hirobumi Kawamura of Rococo Co., Ltd.
Additionally, Steve Nunn, President and CEO of The Open Group, introduced The Open Group Global Awards which recognized individuals and companies who are leveraging standards from The Open Group to make a measurable impact.
The Open Group Global Awards shone a spotlight on outstanding achievements across The Open Group international community. The Global Awards were established to formally recognize and celebrate these contributions to the
outstanding achievements, collaborations, and thought leadership that make our community so impactful. Through this program, we honored the Members whose work exemplified the values of openness, integrity, and excellence that define The
Open Group.
A sincere thank you to all who contributed to making this event such an informative and engaging summit.
